A large yellow IDA/VIRU sign has been installed at Narva-Jõesuu Harbour – a contemporary monumental object that forms part of the Ida-Viru County record places tourism project. The sign is clearly visible from the river and from the water, serving as a visual greeting for visitors arriving in the region by water routes.

The sign symbolises the beginning of a journey through Ida-Viru County – a land of records, nature and discoveries. It highlights the maritime character of Narva-Jõesuu, the town’s connection to shipping and the coastline, and also functions as a recognizable landmark in the harbour area.
The IDA/VIRU sign at the harbour is linked to a wider tourism project through which yellow geo-markers of Estonia’s record places are being installed across Ida-Viru County. One such marker in Narva-Jõesuu is located at Estonia’s longest seaside resort beach. Together, these elements form a unified system of landmarks that helps visitors discover the region’s record places and design their own travel routes in Ida-Viru County.
