Privacy and Cookie Policy
The Narva-Jõesuu City Government processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), the Personal Data Protection Act, other applicable data protection legislation, and the guidelines of the Data Protection Inspectorate.

These data protection terms explain the principles of processing personal data when using the tourism website of the Narva-Jõesuu City Government www.visitnarvajoesuu.ee (hereinafter — the Website).
The controller of personal data is the Narva-Jõesuu City Government (registry code 77000499, address: J. Poska tn 26, Narva-Jõesuu linn 29023, e-mail: info@narva-joesuu.ee). Activities related to the content of the Website and data processing are organised on behalf of the City Government by the tourism and entrepreneurship coordinator, acting under the authorisation of the controller.
Definitions
Processing of personal data — any operation performed on the personal data of a Website user, including collection, use, storage, rectification, restriction, or deletion of data.
Users — all persons who visit the Website, use the services provided through it, or submit information to the Narva-Jõesuu City Government.

Mailing lists are kept up to date, and users may unsubscribe from newsletters at any time. Upon unsubscribing, the user’s contact details are automatically removed from the relevant list. In the case of campaigns, surveys, or similar activities, personal data are processed solely for the purpose of the respective activity and in accordance with its specific terms.

For example, an e-mail address is retained on a mailing list until the user chooses to unsubscribe. The Narva-Jõesuu City Government applies appropriate organisational, physical, and technical security measures to protect personal data. Access to personal data is granted only to authorised persons. When engaging authorised processors, equivalent data protection measures are required.

User rights
Users have the right to:
  • obtain information about the processing of their personal data and request access to it;
  • request rectification of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data;
  • request erasure of personal data or restriction of processing, where permitted by law;
  • request data portability;
  • withdraw their consent at any time (including unsubscribing from newsletters);
  • lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Inspectorate or bring an action before a court.

The Website uses cookies to improve user experience, collect statistics, and analyse the operation of the Website. A cookie is a small text file stored by a web browser on the user’s device.
The Website uses:
  • persistent cookies, which enable the recognition of repeat visits and content customisation;
  • session cookies, which are temporary and deleted when the browser is closed.

Usage statistics
Google Analytics is used to collect Website usage statistics and gathers anonymised data about visited pages, visit duration, devices used, and traffic sources.
