“The Bather” (“Supleja”) is a decorative park sculpture associated with the spa and resort heritage of Narva-Jõesuu. The work was created by Estonian sculptor Erika Haggi in 1960 and was originally intended for the park area of a sanatorium complex, continuing the tradition of artistic landscape design typical of resort towns.

The sculpture is made of Saaremaa dolomite and depicts a nude female figure in a calm, balanced pose. Its restrained plastic form and modest surface treatment emphasise themes of water, the human body, and well-being — all central to the spa culture of Narva-Jõesuu. Rather than dominating its surroundings, the sculpture integrates naturally into the landscape.

Today, the sculpture is located near Narva‑Jõesuu Medical Spa and remains an important artistic landmark, linking the contemporary urban space with the town’s historic sanatorium tradition.
