The “Protect Nature” monument is a surviving landmark from the Soviet era in Narva-Jõesuu. It appears as a simple artistic sign with a very direct message: the natural surroundings of the resort town are a value worth protecting.

This location is also connected to the local history of recreation. In the past, the international youth camp “Noorus”was situated here. At that time, Narva-Jõesuu was an important summer meeting place for young people, where the camp combined sports, organised leisure activities, and the natural setting of the resort town — the sea, pine forests, and the coastline. Today, the Noorus Spa Hotel is located on this site, continuing Narva-Jõesuu’s tradition of leisure and wellness in a new format.
Today, “Protect Nature” is perceived as a quiet marker of its era and a useful point of orientation on a walk — a reminder of the time of children’s and youth camps and, at the same time, a very contemporary call to leave behind clean forests and shores.
