The official Narva-Jõesuu nude beach is located about 5 km from the town’s main beach, on a
quiet stretch of the Gulf of Finland coastline between the Vodava turnoff and a small stream flowing into the sea. This section of sandy shoreline extends for more than 400 metres and is surrounded by dunes and pine forest.
The beach received official status in 2007, when the city designated part of the coastline for naturist recreation in cooperation with a naturist association. However, the area had already been used informally by naturists for more than twenty years before it was formally recognised.
