A quiet riverside relaxation area
River Beach
in Narva-Jõesuu
In addition to its well-known seaside beach, Narva-Jõesuu also has an unofficial river beach, located next to the city sauna on the banks of the Narva River.
It is a popular spot among local residents, especially during the warmer months, when the calm river and the sheltered location create a more intimate and peaceful atmosphere.

The riverside area is designed for leisure and social gatherings: it features a grill area, a children’s playground, seating areas and paths for walking along the water. Families with children and visitors seeking a slow, relaxed experience by the river often choose this spot, away from the busier seaside beach.

The riverside area near the city sauna also serves as a venue for local events — this is where the sauna festival takes place, bringing together sauna traditions, summer leisure and a culture of shared experiences by the water. Although the area does not have official bathing beach status, it remains an important part of Narva-Jõesuu’s summer life and highlights the special role of the Narva River in the town’s resort environment.
NB! As the Narva River is a border river, swimming conditions are subject to special regulations. The river beach near the city sauna does not have official bathing status, and visitors are advised to exercise caution, follow current guidelines and comply with border regime requirements.
