Classic Riders Star Ride
When: 23 June 2026
Where: Narva-Jõesuu
It has been 95 years since the first motorcycle rally in Estonia. In June 1931, the Eesti Tähesõit — a “star ride” — took place, gathering an impressive number of participants for its time: 72 motorcycle crews from Estonia, Finland, and other Baltic and Scandinavian countries.

The route, approximately 500 kilometres long, ran from Tallinn to Narva-Jõesuu. It was completed by 56 participants — “tired, dirty and happy,” as the press of the time described them. The first to cross the finish line were riders from Tartu, Elmar Prüüss and Helmut Kurich, on lightweight German DKW motorcycles. The resort town of Narva-Jõesuu welcomed all finishers warmly, recognising their courage and endurance.

In 2026, marking the 95th anniversary of this historic event, the Classic Riders club once again organises the star ride, continuing the tradition and reviving the atmosphere of the early motorcycle rallies. It is both a tribute to history and an opportunity to see vintage machines in motion and to feel the connection between generations through the road and time.
