Narva-Jõesuu museums
Narva-Jõesuu is not only a resort with magnificent beaches but also a place with a rich and very diverse history. The area of Narva-Jõesuu hosts two completely different museums, each introducing various milestones in the history of these lands.
Vaivara Sinimäegede (Blue Hills) Museum
This museum is located in the village of Sinimäe and is dedicated to the events of World War II, including the legendary battles for the Sinimäe Heights in 1944. The museum was opened in 2008, in an old renovated manor granary.

The exhibit includes armaments, uniforms, soldiers’ personal effects, war time photographs, propaganda posters, etc. Guides can be arranged for hiking or bus excursions and various special programs are available.

Narva-Jõesuu Local History Museum
The Local History Museum is located at 38 Nurme Street and is housed in a pre-war historic villa where the family of the renowned Estonian writer A. H. Tammsaare vacationed in the 1930s; the writer himself also visited this place.

The museum's exhibition features photographs that tell the story of the history and culture of the resort town of Narva-Jõesuu, as well as about notable figures who lived or vacationed here.

The museum also offers services for organizing walking and bus tours, as well as educational programs for schools and kindergartens.
